"That's our house!" Tom pointed. "The
pipe brings rain water from the aquifer to our house. That must be how
we get our water!"
"You mean we have rain to thank for
the water we use?" asked Fay as they went inside.
"Right!" cried Uncle Zed. "Most
of the water we have around comes from rain stored under the
ground."
"Wow!" Fay exclaimed. "Now
I see. Plants and animals of every shape and size need water.
And people, too, must have rain!"
Uncle Zed smiled, "Now that we're back, what
do you think? Would anyone like some water to drink?"
